Iceta

It was a great scientist and geographer, born in Syracuse about five hundred years before the coming of Jesus Christ to the world. He was the first to assert that the Earth is a spherical body shape and spin endlessly in the infinite space, without being suspended or supported to any key. It is therefore up to a Sicilian credit for having understood and solved a deep and difficult astronomical question, which only many centuries after the science could prove.
